White Mountains National Forest

My most frequent hiking and back country destination. The White Mountains offer goreous wild forests, some of the highest peaks in the eastern US, serene rivers, brooks, ponds, and lakes, and so much room to explore. I first visited with my dad and brother when I was ten. We loved camping at Hancock campground, visiting Franconia falls, and giving Mt. Washington our best efforts. I've since learned the real beauty of the park lies in its many smaller peaks as well as all the waterfalls, lakes, and remote woods hidden between.
