I'v been lucky to have the opportunity to explore nature closer to the equator. My most extensive trip was to South America with my brother back in 2013 (trips to be posted). More recently I visited the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and South Florida. The contrast in ecosystems and terrain compared to my native New England always amazes me.
