Observed WildlifeThis trail is nothing to seek out on its own. It is a nice walk, or xc ski, from the lovely rental home that I liked to below.
My partner and I rented this home in Tamworth, NH for a weekend away. There is a small trail network that passes through the backyard and we thought we’d check it out.
Over a foot of snow fell before the weekend so we strapped up our cross country skis for this little excursion. It was all flat so the skiing was not too challenging. The trail was mostly through the woods through the easy to follow trail. A short section was through a field and the last part was along a marsh. We didn’t see any wildlife outside of some rabbit tracks but I could imagine a variety of birds hanging around the marsh.
Waterfowl Haven made for a lovely short ski through the woods and we were back inside and next to the fire in about an hour.
