Hurricane Ridge

Come here when you want spectacular views without working to get them. There are a few short trails to explore, but you don't have to walk far for amazing views.

I came here on my rest day. I wasn’t sure if making the drive would be worth it since I was hiking to so many other vistas. I’m happy I did drive up here. The climate here is a bit more dry than the coast and rainforest where I spent the majority of my time. The easy trails brought me to views of both Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountain Range. I’m lucky to have come on a clear day otherwise there is no way I could have seen those sights with even a slight haze. The Olympic Mountains were also so pronounced. For a second I questioned why I had just hiked twenty miles for views that were no better than this.
