Observed WildlifeAn awesome waterfall awaits after a steep climb over three quarters of a mile. Just beyond, a tent platform is available for camping. Keep climbing to reach the Appalachian Trail and the option of climbing Everett Mountain or Mount Race. On this day I chose the south option over Mount Race and its beautiful open ridge. Sage Ravine sits on the opposite end of the mountain in a rare area of old-growth forest where more campsites lie.
